K9 mountainboard
K9 mountainboard seeks to reduce the weight and number of components, making easier to replace or adjust them for better performance.
The functional prototype was built using unidirectional fiberglass and 90° carbon fiber to improve the flex/torsion and the energy distribution of the board.
Stress and deformation analysis simulations were conducted to validate the design process. Also Industrial X-Ray tests were made to show the orientation of the fibers in the different layers of the material.
